Biography

Sallie Kelley, seventh living child of Kelley-5535 and Eaves-608, was born in Lawrence County, Tennessee, in 1855.[1][1][2][2] She married Simeon Liles in 1875[3][3] and her first living daughter, Rebecca Paralee ("Lee") was born in 1879. Simeon and Sallie farmed the land in District 9 of Wayne County, Tennessee.[4][4] Sallie and Simeon would have nine children together; at least, those who lived past infancy.[5][5] At some point before 1910, Sallie and Simone moved west to Missouri, taking Sallie's nephew, Lester, with them.[6][6] By 1920, the area they farmed had become part of Hayti, Missouri, in Pemiscot County.[7][7] Simeon is believed to have died in 1935 and Sallie followed in 1939, although no death or burial records exist for them.
