Biography

When Catherine Kelly was born on January 10, 1838, in Limerick, Limerick, Ireland, her father, John Kelly, was 43, and her mother, Mary Kelly, was 33. She married Capt. Lewis Ryerse in 1859. They had six children in 12 years. She died on August 11, 1902, in Saint Ignace, Michigan, at the age of 64, and was buried in Lakeside Cemetery there.
