James. Born, circa 1800, in Cape Girardeau District, Louisiana Territory, United States (30-40 in 1840, b. 1800-1810; named in father Isaac’s Will 1834). Died, circa 1846, in Ripley Co, MO (Letters of Admin., p.44, East. Of James Kelley 2 Feb 1847). Census: 1830, in Wayne Co, MO (1 male 20-30, wife 4 ch., older male 30-40, b.1790-1800). Census: 1840, in Ripley Co, MO (1 M 30-40, b. 1800-1810, wife 6 ch., older male 60-70; James not on 1850). Probate: 1846, in Randolph Co, AR (Charles Kelley, adm. James Kelley estate suing E.Bettis for debt). Occupation: Settler. He married Melinda Robinson, circa 1825, in Wayne Co, MO (1830 census shows 2 f ch. 0-5 years old
