Biography

Allyn Kellogg, the son of Ebenezer Kellogg and Abigail Olmsted, was born on August 17, 1794, probably at North Bolton, Connecticut (now Vernon). He was a farmer of Vernon, Connecticut.^[1][2][3]

He married Eliza White, daughter of Daniel and Eunice White, on January 9, 1822. They had three children:^[2][3]

1. Allyn Stanley, born October 15, 1824. He became a minister.^[3]
2. Martin, born March 15, 1828. He became a minister.^[3]
3. A daughter, born June 27, 1832; died July 4, at 7 days old.^[3]

Deacon Allyn Kellogg died in Vernon on September 11, 1873, at the age of 79.^[2] He was buried at Elmwood Cemetery in Vernon.
