Biography
Birth
Ebenezer was born on 21 Oct 1764 in Vernon, Tolland County, Connecticut, the son of Ebenezer Kellogg and Hannah Wright.
Marriages
Ebenezer married three times:
He first married Abigail Olmsted (14 November 1758-29 January 1797), the daughter of Nathaniel Olmsted and Sarah Pitkin on 22 January 1789. [1] They had five children:
- Ebenezer Kellogg, 1789-1846
- Martin Kellogg, 1791-1814
- George Kellogg, 1793-1870
- Allyn Kellogg, 1794-1873
- Nathaniel Olmsted Kellogg, 1796-1854
His second wife was Hannah Olmsted (21 January 1768-3 May 1802) on 7 January 1801. She was the second cousin of his first wife as their grandfathers, Nicholas and Joseph, were brothers. They had unnamed twin daughters who died the day they were born on 27 April 1802. Hannah died seven days later on 3 May 1802. [2]
Ebenezer married for a third time on 14 February 1804 to Elizabeth Sheldon. They had three children:
Death
Ebenezer died on 10 May 1812 and was buried, next to his first two wives, in the Grove Hill Cemetery, Rockville, Tolland County, Connecticut, USA.[3]
