Marion S. Kellogg

Marion S. Kellogg (born June 15, 1920 in Rochester , Monroe County , New York , † August 14, 2004 in New York City ) was an American manager and business consultant . Kellogg was one of the first female top executives in an American corporation and the first vice president of General Electric .

Marion S. Kellogg studied physics and was the first female teacher at Brown University's Physical Institute before joining GE. In 1974 she was promoted to Vice President of Corporate Consulting Services . Until 1983 , she advised the various departments and branches of General Electric. In addition, she worked worldwide as an independent management consultant, wrote several specialist books and was on the board of directors of Emhart , CIGNA and Citytrust .

Marion S. Kellogg was honored for her services with four honorary doctorates at American universities. She also received the Mary Parker Follett Award (after Mary Parker Follett ) for her contributions to human resources development .

Marion Schuyler Kellogg is buried at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Rochester, Monroe Co., N.Y., Lot 196-Range 2. Her father and mother are also buried at the same Cemetery. This is a Kellogg/Schuyler Family Plot, with a monument located in the center of the location.
