Have a look at the facebook Page Wikitree in Australia I'm hoping it will be a great spot to ask questions, and work collaboratively towards a gorgeous big tree connecting all its members  :)

They came to Australia

John and Elizabeth Chappelow, of Yorkshire arrived on the Scotia in 1849 and settled with their children in the St Peter's area which is now the inner west of Sydney. David, their son married Jane, daughter of the convicts John Murphy and Ann Leakey. John, a Dubliner was transported in 1828 for stealing silver candlesticks and Ann came 8 years later for stealing clothes. They were married the next year.

David and Jane's daughter, Clara married John Fentiman Smith who came from Yorkshire around 1890.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Leisa by comparing test results with other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Leisa:

Have you taken a DNA test? If so, login to add it. If not, see our friends at Ancestry DNA.

Hi Leisa.

Thankyou for the source you added in August for Buckmaster-382.

I've since added a few things to the profile as I requested a headstone photograph on find-a-grave which just now been completed. This also yielded information on her spouse which will surely help me add him as well. Happy New Year.

John.

Hi Leisa

Just wanted to make a connection with you as I see you are interested in the Chappelow surname. So am I! My great grandmother was a Chappelow and I am currently trying to piece together the various strands of the family, starting with the UK (where I live) but intending to branch out to the USA and Australia. Hope to have the opportunity to collaborate with you in weaving the strands together. Best wishes Julie.

Hi Leisa,

I sent you a message a week ago about the new-look Global Cemeteries Project but have not yet heard back from you. If you would like to continue in the project, please can you PM me your team(s) selections and your e-mail address for the Google group.

If I don’t hear back from you by this time next week I’ll assume you no longer wish to be in the project at this time.

Many thanks,

Susie :-)

Hi Leisa,

We’ve made some exciting changes to the Global Cemeteries Project. The sub-projects have been merged into the Global Project to help with Leadership and to facilitate collaboration.

Some roles within the project have changed. From now on, there are Project Coordinators for each continent, and one for Welcome and Integration, plus Team Leaders for each individual Country etc.

Please let me know if you’d like to stay on in the new project, if you’d like to continue in an existing role, and which team(s) you’d like to be on. Please also give me your e-mail address so that I can get you added to the project’s Google Group.

Many thanks,

Susie

RE: Thomas Garrett

I can't take the credit for the work on that profile. I added a couple bullet points and the engraving. Thank you for the offer but I am not connected. It was a peripheral interest.

Leisa,

Thanks for the query about Mabel Nottle (Nottle-25). I am afraid I do not know where she came from. All I have on her is from paper family trees and it is all in WikiTee. Regards Matthew
