Obituary EVAN JOHN KELLY. (Mar, 1924).^[3] — The death took place on Saturday night last, at his residence, Newtown, of Evan John Kelly, alter a short ill- ness, the cause of death being heart failure. Deceased, who was 66 years of age, and who was well known and a highly respected resident of the district for over 50 years. For many years he was employed on Killarney Station, and afterwards became an employee of the Municipal Council, which position he held at the time of his death. He leaves a widow, two daughters (Mrs. W. Haynes, of Burren Junction, and Mrs. W. Rutley, of Boomi), and five sons (Evan, Arthur, William, Charles, and Athol). The funeral took place on Monday morning, the Rev. Father Ronayne officiating at the grave.
