Biography
1880 Census shows Mathias and Ellen Kelly and their young family. "Elisabeth" 16 years of age and "Ellen" 8 years of age are included. This profile is based on the youngest daughter Ellen. The death certificate cites her name as Ellie Kelly Nave. It also cites her approximate age as "about 62" instead of a birth date. This would indicate that "Ellen" was born approximately 1872 which is consistent with her age of 8 on the 1880 US Census in Richmond County, Augusta, Georgia.[1]
The obituary of Daniel Anthony Kelly of Fernandina FL identifies Ellie as cousin and surviving relative of DA Kelly Sr. The obituary was actually included in a Georgia paper. [2]
Her Certificate of Death identifies Matt (Mathias) and Ellen (Callaghan) Kelly as parents.
