Thomas Richard Kelly was a Lieutenant in the New York City Fire Department, Ladder 105. He was an avid cyclist riding two consecutive years from Bear Mountain to Boston for AIDS awareness. He belonged to a cycle club and enjoyed it so much. He intended to do a cycle ride in France one summer. He volunteered his time at the Atlantis Aquarium. He was a certified deepsea diver‚ diving with the club team in Cozumel and Bovaire. He volunteered for the Dart Team.
He was so happy to have made his home in Riverhead‚ New York. He enjoyed life and helping people was always a priority for Thomas. He was killed in the collapse of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Thomas is buried at the National September 11 Memorial in Manhattan, New York County (Manhattan), New York, USA.
