Jonathan Frederick (John) Kelly was born on 17 April 1915 in Point McLeay, South Australia, Australia ^[1], the son of Frederick (Fred) Kelly and Mona Gollan and his siblings were Florence (Florrie) (Kelly) Long, Hazel Grace Kelly, Sylvia Norah (Kelly) Rankine, and Natalie Edna Kelly.

He married Gertrude Joyce (Joyce) Lovegrove in 1937 at Pinnaroo, South Australia, Australia ^[2] and their children were Frederick Kelly, Rosalind Joyce Kelly and John Albert Kelly.

John died on about 3 November 1951 at Naracoorte, South Australia, Australia ^[3].
