Biography

Leila was born in 1912. She is the daughter of Robert Kelly and Minnie Elswood.

WEDDING. KOCH—KELLY. The wedding of Leila Maud, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs Robert Kelly, Rocklea, Brandon, and Peter Koch, eldest son of Mr. Peter Koch (late of Homestead), was solemnised at the Methodist Church. Ayr, on Sat urday, March the 23rd. by the Rev.Tulip. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father who gave her away, charmingly attired in a frock of Ivory crepe de Chene trimmed with fagoting, tiny frills and little white flowers. With headdress of orange blossoms, a beautiful tulle veil (kindly lent by Mrs. F. Morgans) was worn. The bride carried a bouquet of artificially made roses and daffodils, with bridal and asparagus fern finished with a white satin bow. Mrs. W. Rostron. cousin of tbe bride, attended as Matron of Honor, wearing a frock of pink floral georgette trim med with bebe frills and she wore a large picture hat to match, she also carried a beautiful bouquet of artificial pink roses and asparagus fern finish ed with a pink satin bow. (The bouquets were presented by Mrs. E. Hansen, Queen Street). Mr. Reuben Kelly, only brother of the bride, carried out the duties as best man. Tbe reception was hald at Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Kelly's residence 'Knightsdale,' where the bride's mother received the guests. The beautiful decorated three-tiered cake was the work of the bride's mother and Mrs. F. W. Kelly.
