Biography

Ann was baptised in Patrick on 15 Feb 1818, the daughter of William Kelly and his wife Ann Callin.

Ann married Thomas Shimmin in Patrick, Isle of Man on 10 Jun 1843. At the time she was a dressmaker, aged 25. She was the daughter of William Kelly, a fisherman.

In the 1871 Census she and Thomas are living in Peel with 3 of their children. Thomas is a mariner.^[1] They are living in Peel with 1 son in the 1881 Census.^[2]

By the 1891 Census she is a widow. She is living in Peel on her own means. ^[3] She is still living in Peel in the 1901 Census.^[4]

She died in Peel in 1903 and was buried on 24 Apr 1903.^[5]
