• BIRTH: Based on age given on immigration to Victoria - Passenger list for the Gilmore 1841

• MARRIAGE: Catholic Parish register for Gowran, Kilkenny

• DEATH: Can not find record. However she's mentioned as living in Tasmania in a newspaper article regarding her son Thomas Lawlor in 1878. Argus (Victoria) 12 July 1878 p3

• PARENTS: The evidence that John Kelly is her father and an unknown woman with the last name Hoare is her mother is based off details on the death certificate of her sister Ann Keys nee Kelly in Victoria (REG1207-1897). The fact that Ann is her sister is speculation but very likely, based on these facts: Ann's maiden name is Kelly, they are from the same parish (Gowran Kilkenny), and Mary left her children with Ann Kelly and John Keys when she left Ireland with her husband to Victoria in 1841. We know this because when Ann Keys (nee Kelly) and John Keys arrive in Australia in 1850 on the ship Aurora, the passenger list lists Mary Kelly's children as being "under the protection of the Keys". Also John Keys is listed as sponsor on the baptism for Mary's daughter (Mary) in Gowran Parish in 1839.
