Research Notes
Given name:
Dowd (1885) p. 74 refers to "4062. Tamson Mina Ann Kelsey, who married B. O. Spencer." "Tamson" may simply be an error, conflated with her mother, "Tamson". The mother's death date of 1820 in Dowd is also an error.
Connecticut Church Record of birth (1819) reads "Clarissa Mina Ann Kelsey"
1838 Marriage record has "Clarissa Kelsey"
Her headstone is labeled "Clarissa MA Spencer"
Her daughter Lelia's death certificate has "Marcia Kelsey." This seems the least reliable record, since the informant was Lelia's son-in-law, Carl.
