Melissa was born March 12, 1970 in Great Falls, Cascade, Montana, to Frank Ernest Kelsey and Connie Marie Bise.[1]

Adopted by Wayne Ford 1986.[2][3][4]

She began dating Mark Dunavan in February of 1996. They moved from Great Falls, Montana to Oregon in 1988. April 1, 1989 she married Mark in Gresham, Oregon.[5][6]

They moved to Kansas. September of 1991 she became pregnant with Alicia. In November she went to Ohio to help her friend from High School, Tracy. She decided that if she was unhappy as she was with Mark, the baby would not be happy. She told Mark she was not coming back. She moved to Salem, Oregon. She met Robert Murphy the first part of May 1992. She had him to her apartment for dinner to thank him for helping move a bed. He pretty much stayed. Alicia was born July 14, 1992.[7][8]

December 1993, they were all 3 invited to Wales to visit Robert's parents and other family. He proposed just before they left for this trip. July 10, 1994, she and Robert were married and their first son, Nicolas was born November 16, 1994.

Hi hun,

There has been so much going on, I just do not get enough time for the project. It saddens me to say, but I think I need to be taken off the project for a while.

Happy Sunday!

I’m working on updating and reforming the spreadsheets. I am just wondering if you are planning on using it? I have 21 on the list but only 8 actually using it. It doesn’t matter either way and if you are tracking your numbers somewhere else you could add them on the team page I just need to add you as a manager. Anyhow, The team is doing great! We have indexed over 1400 Names! Thanks for being part of this crazy ride.

I have not been using it. Sorry. I just plug away as much as I can and do not pay attention to the numbers. Thank you for all you are doing as the group leader! I would love the occasional update, if possible, on where our totals are.

I update our space page at least once a day. Last I checked we were at a little over 2200.

Happy Sunday!!

Sandy and I have been getting ready for take off!!! She set us up a Discord Channel so we can communicate with each other about our Project and I have been trying to recruit more people and updating our page.

I added a link to a spreadsheet that we can use to track our progress. I am also going to add a shareable one for those who want to make it a joint effort.

Here is the link to our Discord channel https://discord.gg/5yUSzTD8

Let me know if you want added to the group spreadsheet.

Blessed Be!!!

Hope your day is going well.

Hi Lisa!

It's time for our annual Scotland Project check-in!

This year we are hoping to learn what our membership would like to accomplish over the next 12 months. In case you aren't aware, this year is WikiTree's ""Year of Connections"" and the Project's leadership would like to contribute to this in as many ways as possible.

We would appreciate it if you would share your thoughts and ideas with us on how we can accomplish this goal. We would also appreciate it if you would provide some feedback on our existing goals, including:

  • If you have not yet signed up to help on one of the project's teams, which team(s) would you be interested in joining?
  • How often should we provide a Project Newsletter?
  • Have you participated in the Tartan Trail? If not, is this something you'd be interested in doing?
  • Do you have a question(s) that we could add to a Frequently Asked Questions page?
  • Any suggestions or ideas you have on ways to improve the Scotland Project in general

We continue to communicate with our Project members via Google Group (official) and Discord (unofficial), as well as G2G. You may also reach out to any of the Project leaders via WikiTree's internal messaging system at any time.

Thank you for all you do to help the Scotland Project become a knowledge hub for Scottish genealogical research! We wish you all the best in 2022!

Sincerely, Amy Gilpin on behalf of the Scotland Project Leaders

Hi hun,

Yes. as you know he made it on time. That meant that he was registered. I then put him on the roster so he is stuck with us. LOL

You're the best!! Now here's another question - I got an email from M silva that said:

"You can use any profiles from the Unconnected Profiles reports: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:DBE_Unconnected

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:DBE_Unconnected_US

Or work from your own Watchlist: Go to My WikiTree menu in upper right then Watchlist. Click on "Edit Date" to move the oldest to the top and start looking for profiles that need parents, siblings or children!

Most teams also have tables on their pages with team specific profiles that need family members added. Clicking on the numbers give you lists of profiles you can work on. It's a great idea to let your team members know which part of the table you're working on if you choose this approach."

What the 3 of us Glasgows who signed up (me, Paul Wright and Pat Moell) want to do is to build out our family tree. Paul will be working on Joseph Montgomery Glasgow on down, Pat on John Paul Glasgow on down and me from Sterling Perry Glasgow on down. That thing from M Silva made me think they have to be in our watchlist to count - is that true? And if it IS true how do I get somebody in my watchlist if they're not there? We really want to fill in our Glasgow line!

posted by Diane Scholten
NM! I figured it out! It's being on the Trusted LIst. I added Paul and Pat to profiles I manage and asked for access in ones I think we'll need from the profile managers for those. We're getting ready to rock! And we'll be joining you from California (Paul), Chicago (me) and NC (Pat)!
posted by Diane Scholten
WONDERFUL!!! I am so happy to have the three of you. You do not have to be there at this time but you can, it will start at 5 am tomorrow for Paul, 7 am your time and 8 am for Pat. It is the exact same time you will start but figured in for the time zones.

Hey hun,

No, if you want to go to a profile that is already there and work from it, that is great. If those profiles are already there, have fun. Add away on the ones you know the family of.

Hello

It’s time for a Project check-in!

Scotland Project Leaders check in with you at least once a year to see how you are doing. With the changes happening around the world, we understand that life is hectic right now.

What are you planning to work on for the Scotland Project this year? Are you happy with the team(s) you part of, or would you like to make some changes?

This time round, we’re also looking for feedback on the use of Google Group and Discord. Do you use one or both of these? If you don’t use either of them, what is the best way to ensure you receive Project communications? If you would like to join us on Google Group or Discord, let us know in your response.

Hi Lisa,

Thank you for adding your DNA Test to your profile on WikiTree. Getting Started with DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.

DNA at WikiTree provides a visual way for you to find others who have tested and have the potential of having common ancestors. It normally takes 24 hours from adding a test, or adding a new ancestor, or ancestor’s descendant, for WikiTree to display your name and test results on your ancestors and their descendants’ profiles for potential cousins to compare results with.

Have fun!
