Biography
On 22nd October, 1882, John William Forward, of full age, married minor, Mary Kemp, in the Parish Church, Wadhurst, Sussex, after Banns. Both lived locally. Their respective fathers were recorded as William Forward and George Kemp, both Labourers. The ceremony was conducted by John Foley, Vicar, before witnesses David and Philadelphia Nicholls - her husband's mother and step-father. All members of the bridal party signed their names. [1]
