Biography

In 1862, Elizabeth was born in Great Clifton, Cumberland, England to parents Adam Kendall and Hannah Briggs. [1] She was baptised on 23 Mar 1862, in Great Clifton, Cumberland, England. [2]

In 1871, age 9, Elizabeth was residing at William Street, Great Clifton, Cumberland, England, together with her parents and siblings. Her occupation was Scholar. [3] Her future husband, age 14, Thomas was boarding with the Wilson family at 90 William Street, Great Clifton, Cumberland, England, just up the road.[4]

In 1881, age 19, Elizabeth was residing at 15 Queen Street, Whitehaven, Cumberland, England, in the home of her employer, Agnes Tyson. Her occupation was Domestic Servant, Housemaid.[5]

In 1881, Sep, age 19, Elizabeth and her parents and siblings, travelled to Liverpool, England, and boarded the passenger ship “Germanic”, via Queenstown, Ireland, into Castle Garden and Ellis Island, New York, USA. Arriving on 12th Sep 1881. [6]

In 1881, Dec 24, age 19, Elizabeth married Thomas Ray in Rock Island, Illinois, USA. [7] [8]

In 1900, age 38, Elizabeth was residing in Roslyn, Kittitas County, Washington, USA together with her husband and children, and brother.[9] [10]

In 1907, Aug 9, age 45, Elizabeth passed away in Roslyn, Kittitas County, Washington, USA. She is buried in the IOOF Cemetery in Roslyn, Kittitas County, Washington, USA, together with her husband Thomas. Plot Row 8-117 In the plot next to her is her parents Adam Kendall and Hannah Kendall grave. [11]
