Troyer-104 and Troyer-370 do not represent the same person because: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Troyer-104 is my 7th gr grand Uncle and https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Troyer-370 is my 7th Great Grandfather.

There are differences in dates of birth. They often named their children after their siblings causing much confusion at times when the dates of birth or death are missing. I see why you have assumed they are duplicates but more people than I have tried to sort out their correct biographies.

I have based my findings on my own DNA matches with them, as well as searching many family documents. Thank you for your interest.

Hey Linda. I saw you rejected most of the matches of the descendants of Abraham Troyer (*1659). Could you further explain why they shouldn't match? Or merge them? Both sons David were born 1707, had the same wife Veronica. Both have a son Michael David, married to Magdalena Mast. And their children also match: The children added to Troyer-5 are also listed in the biography section of Troyer-61.

Hi, Linda,

Thanks for suggesting a possible match of Hutchinson-4505 and Hutchinson-2765. It seems unlikely to me. Have you any evidence that 2765 travelled across the Atlantic twice? Perhaps to get married? My source gave no hint of a middle name either. Chris

Hi Bobbi!

What a can of worms these Kendrick profiles are! https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Kendrick-222 is my 7th cousin 15Xremoved. & https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Kendrick-1178 is my 7th Gr.Grandfather! I don't know why there are so many similarities between them. I thought they were an unmerged match as well until I checked my relationship with each of them. Is the DNA relationship checker wrong to use in cases like this? I'm sorry if I did anything wrong. This can be so confusing at times.

Thank you for working on these profiles. Did you notice the 2 Johns in the siblings & the different spelling of the surnames & DOB? Also, the birth dates of the 2 Anne Smiths are different.

Best regards, Linda K.

Hi Linda,

Regarding the rejected merge on John Kendrick and John Kendrick - aren't they the same man? The spouse Anne Smith is the same, the birth year & place is the same, only the death date is different. Could you perhaps check & add sources to Kendrick-1178 so that we can decide if he's the same person or a different one and should be merged? Thanks for your help in collaborating! Bobbie
