In 1900 Rachel was about age 27 and was living in Pikeville, Pike County, Kentucky.[2]
Rachel was admitted to the Eastern State Hospital (asylum) on 5 May 1907, with a diagnosis of Recurring Mania.[3][4] Rachel died on 3 October 1907, from Acute Nephritis, in Eastern State Hospital, Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky and is buried in the cemetery there.[5]
