Biography

Rachel (Kendrick) Thacker lived in Appalachia, in Kentucky.

Rachel was born in February 1872 in Kentucky. She was the daughter of George M Kendrick and Virginia Mahala (Chaney) Kendrick.

Rachel married Green Harmon Thacker about 1887.^[1]

They had 9 children:

In 1900 Rachel was about age 27 and was living in Pikeville, Pike County, Kentucky.^[2]

Rachel was admitted to the Eastern State Hospital (asylum) on 5 May 1907, with a diagnosis of Recurring Mania.^[3][4] Rachel died on 3 October 1907, from Acute Nephritis, in Eastern State Hospital, Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky and is buried in the cemetery there.^[5]
