Biography

Rosannah Kendrick was born about 1751 in Maryland, her parents are unknown. She married James Aldridge (1742-1830). Their first three children were born in North Carolina, Abner in 1768, Reuben in 1770, and Sarah in 1772. The family then moved to Georgia where the rest of their children were born, Tabitha in 1774, James in 1775, Elizabeth in 1776, Isaac in 1779, Susannah in 1780, Jesse in 1784, John in 1787, and Nathan in 1789. In 1830 the family appears in the counties of Monroe, Lawrence, and Autaugo, in the state of Alabama.

In Autauga, Alabama in 1830, J. Aldridge was listed under male between ages 90-100, and his spouse was listed as female under 70-80.[1] James and Rosannah both appear to have died before 1840.

Their sons, Reuben and Abner are found on the 1830 census records in Monroe, Alabama, page 48 and page 51[2][3]

Their sons, Jesse, John and Nathaniel all appear on page 268 in Lawrence, Alabama.[4]
