There is a manor in Cornwall named, Kenegie Manor. The history of the family for whom it was named is not known. Confusingly, there are people, not related to that family, who are referred to by that surname because they came from that area. There is evidence, however, that such a family existed: Kenegie was formerly the seat of a family of that name; the heiress of the Kenegies married Tripcony whose descendant resided at this place in the reigns of Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth. About 1600 Kenegie became the seat of the Harris' of Heyne, in Devonshire[1]
