I never heard of a George Hudson through Marion Hudson but it is possible because I have seen, but not confirmed, that her father, Gordon, was married before he was married to Isabel (her mother). They were from Prince Edward Island Canada if that helps?

Hi Tori,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or special event. Read the goals and tasks of the project and join if it is a good fit.

Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

Neat. Seems everyone in Scotland is related. Good luck in your search.

hi Tori, for your info, French women did not go by the name of their husband, they kept their own names, so they should not have their current last name as the husband's name, at least until mid-1800s when English practice prevailed, and even then they were recorded by their own name in church records.

so, with all that merging, turns out we are 5th cousins once removed.  :D

I saw your posting and was curious: are you claiming kinship to both the kennedys and Stewarts of Scotland? That's interesting and leads to the question: were they from Galloway? My mother's family -- Hannay -- was from Galloway and were kin to the Stewarts of that region. They also bankrupted themselves and were outlawed for feuding with the Murrays, Dunbars and -- the Kennedys. The Hannay Clan of that time was based in Sorbie. Good luck in your research. Rodney
