Biography

Robert Kennedy was born on 30 August 1874, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Thomas Kennedy and Sarah A Sweeney. [1] [2] [3]

In 1880, he was living at 560 William Street, Philadelphia, with his family. [2]

In 1900, he was living at 2130 Huntingdon Street, Philadelphia, with his mother and siblings. He was a plumber. [3]

On 12 February 1901, he and Kate McWilliams were married by Peter Munday, priest at the Visitation Church, at Lehigh Avenue and Leamy Street. He was a plumber, and lived at 2057 Amber Street, Philadelphia. [4] [5] They had one child: [6]

His wife Kate died on 11 March 1901,[7] and their daughter Katie died on 9 July 1901.[6]

On 29 July 1903, he committed suicide in a patrol wagon, by taking carbolic acid. He was a plumber. On 1 August 1903, he was buried, in the family plot in Northwood Cemetery, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. [1] [8]
