She was born 10 Nov 1888 in Pike City, Pike co, Arkansas. She is the daughter of Lindsey Burt Kennedy (1857-1943) and Charlotte Safronia Simmons, Kennedy (1861-1946).

She married first #1. James "Jim" Samuel West-(1881-1958) on 6 Jan 1907 in Fannin co, Texas. He is the son of William P. West-(1841-1908) and Sarah Julina Womack-(1859-1926).
