Research Notes
1. His birth for about 1680 in Somerset, Maryland, was not found.
2. He was reported to have paid taxes in Charles County, Maryland, in 1733, unresearched (world connect: mrmarsha).
3. Surname alternative to Kennedy, Canaday, is consistent down through generations.
4. John, in his Will, separated children into three groups, which suggests Elizabeth Donze was his third wife and the mother of his last two children, Francis and Daniel.
5. p.e. in his Will = Personal Effects
6. Circumstantial Evidence: In addition to direct evidence:
John (1680) Kennedy was a contemporary of Francis (1687) Hughes. John Kennedy named one child Daniel and two more: Francis and Hugh. Daniel Kennedy RWS and Margaret Hughes married. They were the grandchildren of John (1680) Kennedy and Francis (1687) Hughes.
7. In 1713 his father may have lived in most likely [History church tax], in Prince Georges Co (Southwest of Kent Co; across the Chesapeake Bay; just East of D.C.)
-- Wikitree Note: Similar to Kennedy-15238, except this John was most likely not born in Scotland and did not have a daughter named Elizabeth (in his Will).
