Andrew Kennedy was born 26th August 1872 [1][2] at Port Bannantyne, Isle of Bute, Scotland, the son of William Kennedy & Jane Haig.
Andrew Kennedy, aged 15, sailed from London, England on 6th December 1887, on the Duke of Argyll (2,037 Tons) under Captain Prentice, with his parents & siblings as "Free" passengers. The Duke of Argyll arrived at Brisbane, Queensland, Australia on 4th February 1888, dropping off the Kennedy family on 29th January 1888 at Townsville, north Queensland along the way. The family moved to Brandon, south of Townsville, in February 1888, when Andrew's father William Kennedy found employment with Colin Munro, of Drynie Station, Brandon. [3]
Andrew Kennedy married Florence Evennett 27th July 1896 at Cooktown, Queensland, Australia. [4]
Andrew Kennedy died aged 64, on 12th July 1937 [5][6] at Home Hill, Queensland, Australia, and was buried at the Home Hill Cemetery, Home Hill, Queensland, Australia 13th July 1937. [6]
