Research Notes
- Gilbert's father made a resignation of lands to him along with his brothers David, Thomas, James, Hugh, and John on 24 Sep 1454 and assuming no twin births, and allowing the shorter of normal term pregnancies, one would place the birth of Gilbert as eldest son before 23 Feb 1450/51. N.B. the profile previously had the date of birth set to 22 Feb 1405 but that was likely a different Gilbert Kennedy.
