Biography

Elias was born on 30 January 1866 in Crimora, Augusta, Virginia, United States. He was the son of John Henry Kennedy and Sarah Katherine Sheets.^[1]

When Elias was 21 he married Salome Susan Rife on 2 June 1887 in Crimora, Augusta, Virginia. The couple had 8 children: Lillie Alice* Kennedy, Annie May Kennedy, Nora Bell Kennedy, Ada Catherine Kennedy, John Bowman Kennedy, Suart Lee Kennedy, Clara Virginia Kennedy and Elsie Rebecca Kennedy.^[1]
