James C. "Jim" Kennedy, 62, Horse Cave, died Sunday, Aug. 16, 2009, at Caverna Memorial Hospital. He was a Jefferson County native, retired as manager of Hart Stone Company, was employed by Great Onyx Job Corp at Mammoth Cave, and a member of Delta Tau Delta at Western Kentucky University. He was preceded in death by his father, James Clifford Kennedy, and his longtime companion, Mae D. West. His body was cremated. Survivors include a son, Cliff Kennedy, Bowling Green; a daughter, Nellie Woodyard, Bowling Green; five grandchildren; his parents, Don and Elizabeth Gunning, New Haven; a brother, Mick Gunning, New Haven; a sister, Beverly Krajewski, Shepherdsville; four nieces; and a nephew. A Memorial service will be conducted for family and friends at 5 p.m. Aug. 22 at 1929 Youngers Creek Road, New Haven. Winn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements
