Edith (Kent) Peard was born in England.

Edith Kent was born in about 1850, her birth being registered at Lambeth, London in the last quarter of that year^[1]. She was the daughter of William Kent and his wife Emily Davis.

She lived with her parents and siblings at Knights Hill Road, St Marys Lambeth, Lambeth, London & Surrey (1851), Springfield, Beulah Hill, Croydon, Surrey (1861), Stanley Crescent, Kensington, London & Middlesexd (1871) and 157, Haverstock Hill, Hampstead, London & Middlesex (1881). Her father was a Wholesale Book Seller and Publisher.

Edith married William Peard on 4 September 1890 at Hampstead, London^[2].
