In 1842 Michael Faraday visited the Sandemanian Church at Old Buckenham, Norfolk and his niece Caroline Reid left a detailed account of the visit. This included having "tea with John Loveday on the green" (9th July 1842). On Monday 10th July, Mr Fisher came to breakfast with us to say farewell. Seemed to feel our leaving very much. No doubt my uncle Faraday has been a great help and support to the elders and this time after the painful separation of Thomas Loveday and his son Foulger Loveday. [4].
