Biography

Jane Kerin was the daughter of Terence Kerin, an attorney from Dublin. ^[1] She was born in about 1731. Her mother was Eweretta Parker, but many sources, erroneously, name her mother as Jane Ewer. Her mother's name was passed on to her first daughter.

In around 1749, she married Dr John Constable in Dublin. ^[2] He was a surgeon with the British army, and he was moved to Montreal in 1754. They eventually settled in Schenectady.

John and Jane Constable had 9 children in total, of whom only four survived into adulthood:
1 William Kerin Constable (1751-1803)
2 Eweretta (Constable) Phyn (b1754)
3 Harriet (Constable) Pierce (1761 - 1830)
4 James Constable (1769 - 1807)

Jane Constable died in 7 October 1805. She is buried in Manhattan, NY, USA. ^[3]
