Supplied by compiler, [ADDRESS FOR PRIVATE USE,] Valparaiso, Indiana. 1981. 4 Sep 2021 BILLMEYER - KERR CHART OF LIVING RELATIVES The Reason for Compilation Shortly after I met Max Kerr and even after we were married, he would introduce me to people in his family, but usually was not able to tell the exact relationship. I did learn quite early, however, why Aunt Bessie was his aunt and great aunt and why he had double cousins. When the Billmeyer-Kerr reunion was formed it became obvious that I'd have to make a chart to get the relationships in mind. It was then I learned more fully of the convergence of the John Kerr family and its nine sons with another great family of nine sons and daughters, the Andrew Billmeyer family. This meant that there were undoubtedly many more descendants that should attend the reunion and get acquainted with one another. The beginning was to ask the ones I knew how they were related to others in the family and who their direct descendants are. Also, if I collected dates and made a chart, it would be of interest to others and a genealogical source of information. Now that people have seen the chart, some have asked for copies, hence this smaller form. I am indebted to all of you who have kindly and patiently furnished information, to my husband for his interest, patience, and the lettering of the large chart, and to Louise Ehnis who typed all the information. Supplied by compiler, [ADDRESS FOR PRIVATE USE,] Valparaiso, Indiana. 1981. 4 Sep 2021 BILLMEYER - KERR CHART OF LIVING RELATIVES The Reason for Compilation Shortly after I met Max Kerr and even after we were married, he would introduce me to people in his family, but usually was not able to tell the exact relationship. I did learn quite early, however, why Aunt Bessie was his aunt and great aunt and why he had double cousins. When the Billmeyer-Kerr reunion was formed it became obvious that I'd have to make a chart to get the relationships in mind. It was then I learned more fully of the convergence of the John Kerr family and its nine sons with another great family of nine sons and daughters, the Andrew Billmeyer family. This meant that there were undoubtedly many more descendants that should attend the reunion and get acquainted with one another. The beginning was to ask the ones I knew how they were related to others in the family and who their direct descendants are. Also, if I collected dates and made a chart, it would be of interest to others and a genealogical source of information. Now that people have seen the chart, some have asked for copies, hence this smaller form. I am indebted to all of you who have kindly and patiently furnished information, to my husband for his interest, patience, and the lettering of the large chart, and to Louise Ehnis who typed all the information.
