George was born in 1855. He was the son of William Kershaw and Elizabeth Tetlow.

He married Jemima Smith 27 Jan 1878 when he was 18?? and she was 20. He signed, she made her mark.^[1]

He passed away in 1917. ^[2]

Research Notes

His age on marriage is doubtful , in the census three years later he is 25.
