Ethelyn was born in 1919. She was the daughter of Irving Kesby and Belle Newbury. She passed away in 2002.

Seastrum. s/o Everett & Hazel M. (Brown) Seastrum. PJ: 7/13/2002: Ethelyn A. Seastrum, 82, of Ellery Center, died at 10:10 p.m. Thursday (July 11, 2002) in the home of her daughter in Ellery Center. A native of Ellery Center, she was born Oct. 31, 1919, the daughter of Irving W. and Ina E. Newbury Kesby. She was the wife of Henry E. Seastrum, whom she married Nov. 1, 1941. She was a 1940 graduate of Bemus Point High School. She bought and sold collectibles for many years, tied and picked grapes in Portland and Westfield areas for many years, and was an Avon representative. She was a member of Bemus Point Post 557 Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, a former member of the Ellery Center Fire Department, a census taker and election inspector for the town and school districts for many years. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters: Barbara E. Rappole of Ellery Center, with whom she made her home, and Sharon L. Moran of Jamestown; three sons, Kenneth W. and Daniel H. Seastrum, both of Ellery Center, and Edwin I. Seastrum of Latham, NY: 14 grandchildren: Jessie M., Tristen H., Robert A. and Whitney A. Rappole, Kerry L. Brightman, Braden G., Erin F., Wendy L., and Daniel C. Seastrum, all of Ellery Center, Kellie M. Irish of Stockton, Kim L. Seastrum of Sinclairville, Amy J. Berg of Jamestown, Justin A. and Jared A. Seastrum, both of Latham; eight great-grandchildren: and two sisters: G. Verna Gustafson of Jamestown and Martha J. Kolstee of Maple Springs. She was preceded in death by a sister, Belle Shepard; and 11 brothers: Walter, Kenneth, Albert, Willis, Morris, Roy, Roger, Ralph, Raymond, William and Donald Kesby. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Ellery Baptist Church. The Rev. Dennis W. Walton, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Bemus Point Cemetery.
