Biography

Chrstina (Ketter) Jaeger, 60, passed away at 5:45 p.m. on Sunday, 30 September 1945 at her home in Ashford, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin following an extended illness.

She was born 24 November 1884 in Campbellsport, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, a daughter of John Ketter, 1854-1927 and Catherine (Simons) Ketter, 1858-1919. On 27 February 1911, she married Peter Joseph Jaeger, b. 1881. They spent their married life in the town of Ashford.

Mrs. Jaeger was an active member of St. Martins Catholic Church in Ashford and its Ladies Sodality. The Sodality was organized to increase the personal holiness of its members and to train them in charitable work for others.

Christina was survived by her husband, Peter; three children, Kenneth W. Jaeger, b. 1912 of Campbellsport; Paul Phillip Jaeger, b. 1917 of Ashford; and Clarence Adam Jaeger, b. 1918 at home; siblings, Mary (Peter) Schommer of Campbellsport; Frank Ketter, b. 1893 of Campbellsport; Lawrence Henry Ketter, b. 1898 of Kewaskum, Wisconsin; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Catherine (Ketter) Uelmen, 1883-1944.

Friends called after 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, 2 October at the residence. Services were held at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the residence and later at 9:30 a.m. at St. Martins Catholic Church where the Rev. John Gruenwald officiated. Burial followed at Saint Martin's Catholic Cemetery in Ashford. The findagrave memorial ID is 48627516.
