Edward was born about Jan. 6, 1730-1in East Greenwich, Kent County, Rhode Island, British Colonial America. His parents were Mansir and Desire Kettle. His siblings: Mary, b. Aug. 23, 1726; Margaret, b. Dec 20, 1727; Desire, b. Mar. 1, 1728; Mansir, b. Sept. 20, 1732; Susannah, b Mar. 10, 1734-5.[1].
