A previous version of this profile claimed that Edward was son of RIchard Kettell and Esther Ward. Richard's will names all of his children, and Edward is not listed as one of them.

"Edward Kettle named a son "Mansur," probably a surname, and there was indeed a Mansur family of Charlestown. Possibly Edward Kettle's mother was related to the Robert Mansur (apparently an immigrant) who married at Charlestown on 6 June 1670, Elizabeth Brooks"
