Philip Barton Key born 5 Apr 1818 in Georgetown, District of Columbia, USA[1]

Philip married on 18 Nov 1845 to Ellen Swan, daughter of a Baltimore attorney. They had 4 children. Philip was a widower by 1859. [2]

Congressman Daniel Sickles of New York learned that his wife Teresa Bagioli Sickles was having an affair with Philip. Sickles shot Philip on 27 Feb 1859 and he died some tine later.
