Biography

When Achilles Key [1]was born on September 30, 1785, in Surry, North Carolina, his father, Martin, was 22 and his mother, Sarah, was 17. He married Sarah Sallie Denny on December 7, 1809,[2] in his hometown. They had eight children in 16 years. He died on February 16, 1834, in his hometown at the age of 48.
