The birth of a son on 24 Dec 1876 clarifies Sarah's information, giving her full name as Sarah Maria Loughborough.[2] The child must have been Hamilton Keyes, who died at age 0 the next year.[3]
By 1880 there are two children.[4]

Edward, son of Erasmus D. Keyes & Mary Clark, died (age 80) on 24 January 1924 in Manhattan, New York City, New York, United States. Both parents were born in South Carolina. He was married to Sarah M. Keyes, and would be buried at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.[6]
