Hi Mike,

I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! This certification requires participation in a project related to the profiles you wish to edit. Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors?

Let me know! I can help you figure out if there's a project and introduce you to the project leaders. Welcome aboard!

Hi!

How's everything going? You might be finding duplicate profiles now. We have a Help Page to help you learn what to do with them. Be sure to check for your pending merges by going to FIND, PENDING MERGES, and sort for those waiting on you. Upon completing a merge, be sure to clean up/edit the Biography as ALL information from both profiles are copied and remove any duplicate info.

If you want updates on surnames you can add them by going to MY WIKITREE, NAV HOME PAGE, scroll down to just below WIKI GENEALOGY FEED to EDIT FOLLOWED SURNAMES. You can add up to 20.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those situations.

As I rapidly approach 60 and my parents' generation passes on, I'm researching my family - descended from James Kidd (born in Soham, Cambridgeshire, England) who arrived in New York on May 18, 1837 with his wife and three children. His son David (also born in Englang) moved to Wykoff, Fillmore County, MN.
