DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Rita by comparing test results with other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Rita:

Thank you Rita! I am just switching data into Wikitree, and learning as I go. The merge will save me a lot of typing!

Hello Rita

A note regarding Josiah Seabrook (b.1849, Hemel Hempstead). I am a great grandchild of a union between Josiah Seabrook, and Jane Carr in 1872, Sydney, N.S.W. About 12 months ago, AncestryDNA had this connection for me, almost as soon as I looked over Ancestry ThruLines. Also, there was a single group of mystery connections - all Seabrook descendants. I have been looking for my maternal great grandfather since 1994 - when I started researching. 'Can't be 100 percent sure though. Maybe 99.9 percent will have to suffice. I may have doubled up on the Josiah Seabrook entry. 'Only started WikiTree in earnest, a couple of weeks ago. Also, I am unaware of the protocol required regarding this type of matching on WikiTree. There is no paper work - only DNA. This is a short note, just to introduce myself - and seek your reaction. Regards, Bob Venn

Sorry to have so many duplicates for you to merge.

I'm not sure if you have Dame Margaret Kidd in your list? She was quite a trailblazer - first female KC in Scotland!

Thanks for your information about Arthur Walter Mitchell. I have added a reference to the Queensland index of his death registration. I note you cite the exact date of death which does not show in the online Queensland index to which I have access. I was wondering where you found the exact death date? Best wishes, Michael

Hi Rita,

No problem at all. It is always nice when you find an overlap with your tree. I do not have many photos but I am hoping to add some biographies soon with some more details and some images of the sources.

Particularly the ship records. I am hoping this makes some of the information more accessible

PS I have just added the record relevant to Anne Catherine (Kilfoyle) Smyth for you to see to satisfy your curiosity. I hope it is appropriate. I have also added a portrait of her most likely from the late 1800s.

Hello Rita, Thank you for that. Any help is appreciated. I'm still trying to get around how all this works.
Hi Rita - I am Sarah (Stinson) Ward's sister Margaret's Gt Gt granddaughter. Alice Kelly my gt grandmother, Cecil Kelly my grandfather. Where do you fit in with Sarah? How odd that we bumped into each other after 'meeting' on a Facebook page!
