Valentine was born June 20, 1850 in Indiana, the child of Josias Kiefer and Coroline Witt.
The 1910 U.S. Census lists Valentine at the age of 59 farming his own land near Loma, Mesa County, Colorado. [1]
Valentine Kiefer passed away in 1931 and was buried at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Fruita, Mesa County, Colorado. [2]
