Philipp Jacob Kieß was born 6 May 1806 in Nöttingen, Kurfürstentum Baden to Michael Kieß and Margaretha Küst or Kist, and was baptized into the Evangelische Kirche there the next day.[1]
Philipp Jacob, farmer, aged 69y 2m, 14d, died in Nöttingen, Großherzogtum Baden, Deutsches Kaiserreich 20 Jul 1875 and was buried there 22 Jul 1875.[3]

It is hard to tell in some of the church records whether his mother's name is recorded as Küst or Kist.
