Biography

On 11 Apr 1858, George Kilburn son of James Kilburn married Hannah Tabner daughter of Joseph Tabner at Lanchester. ^[1] This marriage likely took place after Alfred's birth so he was possibly registered as Alfred Tabner. Still haven't found a birth reg or baptism for Alfred but plainly the family was in Durham around the time he was born. Perhaps he was born en route from Suffolk and never registered.

The Kilburn family was living at First New Row, Haswell Moor, Shotton in 1871. ^[2]
