Eleanor was the younger sister of Dorothy Kilgallen. Their father was a Hearst newspaperman and war correspondent. Eleanor was an actress and appeared in Stage Door in 1939. In the 40s she was a casting director for NBC radio. She and a partner became casting agents, launching many careers in show business.
