William Rufus Killam was born on 19 Feb 1806 in North River, Westmorland, New Brunswick, son of Comfort Killam (1777 - 1829) and Mary (Taylor) Killam (~1781 - ~1829).

His siblings were:

  4. George M. Killam (1811 - 1887)
  5. Mehetabel Taylor Killam (~1813 - ~1890)

William (22) married Mary Pauline Goddard (20) (born in New Brunswick on 16 Jan 1808; died in New Brunswick on 19 Nov 1886), daughter of Giles Brown Goddard and Johanna Wager, on 25 Dec 1828. Their children were:

  1. Daniel Killam (1833 - 1886)
  2. William Killam (1839 - 1917)
  3. Mary Killam (1841 - 1904).

William died on 27 Jul 1881 in Killams Mills, Salisbury, Westmorland, New Brunswick, Canada aged 75. He is buried in Lewis Mountain Cemetery, Lewis Mountain, New Brunswick.[1]
