• In 1861 census John was age 8 living at Bishop Street, Birmingham, Warwickshire with father John (31?), mother Harriet (30), sisters Rebecca (6), Harriet (2). ^[2]
• In 1871 census John was age 19 living in Birmingham, Warwickshire with father John (40), mother Harriet (40), brothers James (7), George (3), sisters Rebecca (16), Laetitia (9). Occupation Wire Worker. ^[3]
• It is not known what happened to John after 1871. He does not appear in later censuses and there are no obvious death or marriage records. It is possible John emigrated.
